We're celebrating International Womens' Month for Crafters and Vendors through this much-requested seminar. On March 5, 2023 (3-6 p.m.) at the American Legion, 3363 McDowell Rd., Grove City, Ohio our monthly "Sip & Shop Boutique" pop-up shops will become a different platform for women interested in learning how to transition their gig or hobby into a legitimate business.
Each month we donate 30-40 paint party tickets to the Veteran Tickets Foundation. Vettix.org is a national, non-profit, 501c organization located in Phoenix, Arizona. They give free event tickets to Veterans, Active-Duty Military and their families. The paint party is led by local Artists and creates a relaxing ambience with smooth jazz music, wine tastings and food pairings. 10 local crafters and vendors are juried to participate, sell their products, and join-in on the festivities. Creative new and positive experiences, like paint partying can be fun and relaxing for those who have suffered trauma in their lives. Sip & Shop Boutique Host, Serbennia Davis, organizes monthly paint parties in a relaxing environment. Guests experience art therapy mediums like drawing, painting, and coloring to help heal post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health issues. This Sunday Funday event attracts veterans, active-duty, reservists and retirees from all over the State of Ohio.
Exclusive vendors and crafters are invited to market and sell their products for guests to shop inhouse while enjoying freshly cooked hors d'ouevres. Hot and cold beverages and winetastings are available too. Lyons Vision Photographer, DeVaunte Lyons captures images during the event for posting on social media platforms.

Professional Artist Caitlin Crum, returns to Sip & Shop Boutique at The American Legion, Post #164 in Grove City, Ohio to share her painting skills with local Veterans, their family and friends. Central Ohio Military Museum Celebrates Veterans
Harrisburg, OH — June 11, 2022 —Central Ohio Military Museum (COMM) Curator, Robert Traphagan announced a commemorative Veterans event this year - following the COVID-19 pandemic. The "Annual Veterans Celebration" will be held at the former VFW site in Harrisburg, OH. Celebrating Veterans is a perfect time to teach children about local heroes and sheroes in our community.
Join the community during this summer fun-filled day for family members of all branches of the service! Meet Reenactors, support local artisans and vendors; check-out military vehicles and enjoy an antique car show. Veteran-Woman Photographer & CEO captures memories just in time for Valentine’s Day! The Grove City Arts Council President and US Army Retired Public Affairs Chief will exhibit her collection of event and on-location images for the first time in Grove City, OH. Motivated by V-WISE- Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship, the artist spends much of her time shooting on location for clients at their special occasion events. The exhibit includes pictures taken at weddings, graduations, proms, anniversaries, birthday parties and military balls.
This free admission exhibition is open to the public during business hours from 10 am - 4 p.m. February 2nd through April 3, 2017.
